🧪 Freedom Formulas

I see my college peers becoming Directors, VPs, HBS grads.

And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a twinge of jealousy.

My LinkedIn feed is full of shiny updates.

Promotions.
Harvard/Stanford/Wharton MBAs.
Shiny titles.

The LinkedIn highlight reel is loud lately.

And here’s the thing:

I know I could do it too.

Climb fast.
Network hard.
Chase the title.

I’ve played that game.

And I was good at it.

But here’s the truth most people won’t say out loud:

This was me at a financial health event at Luminary I moderated a few weeks ago

Yes, I want the money.

But I don’t actually want that life.
Not anymore.

Don’t get me wrong: I still have looooots of goals.

Outrageous ones.

Goals 99.99% of people won’t achieve.

But my number one priority is this:

I want a life that feels like MINE.

Not a race.
Not a checklist.
Not a LinkedIn-approved resume.

But a career that leaves room for more freedom, joy, health, purpose, and alignment.

Still, my ego doesn’t love that answer.

It whispers:

“You’re falling behind.”
“You’re wasting potential.”
“You’re not ambitious enough.”

But I’m learning to tell the difference between ego and intuition.

One wants applause.

(Yes, words of affirmation is my love language.)

The other wants peace - on her own terms.

If you’re also navigating that tension between ego success and soul success, welcome to the club.
