How to turn your 9-5 into wealth building on autopilot
Hi Sheconomist Insider 👋 It’s Thamina, Founder of The Sheconomist. This is your bi-weekly dose of celebrating the female economy where I help ambitious, purpose-driven women like yourself flip the script on money, career & wellbeing conventions so you can live life on your own terms.
TLDR:
❌ How about an anti-vision board?

🧪 Freedom Formulas
We talk a lot about what we want.
The dream apartment.
The promotion.
The revenue goal.
The version of us who finally feels “secure.”
But as we’re approaching the end of the year, I encourage you to build something just as powerful as a traditional vision board:
An Anti-Vision Board.
Instead of obsessing over what you’re manifesting, get radically honest about what you’re no longer willing to tolerate on your path to more freedom and fulfillment.
Because here’s the truth:
➡️ You don’t build wealth & freedom by adding more.
➡️ You build it faster by subtracting what’s draining you.
Your Anti-Vision Board has three columns:
What I’m no longer available for
What I’m done tolerating
What I’m finally choosing
Here are a few that are on mine going into 2026:

I’m no longer available for:
Underpricing my expertise just to be “liked”
Saying yes at the expense of my own nervous system & hormonal health
Being constantly available to people outside my inner circle
I’m done tolerating:
Anxiety-driven decisions
Inconsistent income that could be stabilized with better systems
Projects that look impressive but don’t actually move the needle
Conversations that shrink my ambition instead of stretching it
Comparing myself against and being triggered by people on social media
What I’m finally choosing:
Scaling my side business and generating recurring revenue
Slow mornings over fake urgency
Mentors and friends who normalize 7–8 figure thinking
Relationships that feel steady, not chaotic
A standard of life that doesn’t require me to earn my rest
This is boundary-centered wealth & freedom work.
Because every “no” you get clear on is a yes to more alignment.
Every tolerance you remove creates capacity.
Every standard you raise recalibrates what you attract.
So if you still haven’t made a 2026 vision board, try this instead (or in addition):
Write down what ends this year.
That’s where your next level begins.
And please DM me and let me know what you’re adding to your Anti-Vision Board.

💸 Cooking up Wealth
What if the secret to financial freedom was already in your 9-5 paycheck, you just didn’t know how to unlock it yet?
At 24, I was quietly panicking. I’d graduated with honors from Duke but was earning less than $30K a year, living paycheck to paycheck, and deeply unsure how to “do money right.”
Fast forward a few years, I am:
✔️ on track for an 8-figure portfolio
✔️ living in a luxury building with a gym, spa, rooftop pool in NYC
✔️ investing in women-founded startups
✔️ treating my loved ones to dreamy vacations.
Not because I won the lottery.
Not because I married rich.
Because I learned how to leverage my corporate benefits.
Now, I’ve packaged what I’ve learned into the most transparent guide I’ve ever created and I want you to have it, completely free.
And as a Sheconomist Insider you’ll get access first before I start promoting this across socials. 🫶
Inside, you’ll learn how to:
✔️ Turn your paycheck into power - by automating investing before money even hits your bank account
✔️ Decode your RSUs, ESPP, and 401(k) - with real portfolio numbers and ROI
✔️ Build a wealth plan you can stick to - no burnout, no shame, no spreadsheets
If you’ve ever felt like you should be further ahead by now… or like everyone else knows something you don’t, this is your roadmap.
No gatekeeping. Just real numbers, real strategy, and a whole lot of heart.

🌊 Women Making Waves
Charlotte Lilley is curating immersive retreats and experiences that help women grow, connect, and take action.

In one sentence: What's your purpose in life?
“Mostly to have fun, but also to empower women through adventure, community and confidence! :)”
It's not bragging if it's based on facts. What's an accomplishment you are proud of?
“I'm proud that I took a chance on my dream to build something something from just an idea to what is now my full time job. Through my job, helping women connect and be more confident in the outdoors!”
What financial goal or milestone are you currently working towards?
“I'm working toward making the income what I used to make while I worked in a corporate job with this job by scaling our retreats, our partnerships and creating new offerings.”
What is the greatest challenge young women are facing today?
“From my perspective, it's representation in the outdoors. So many outdoor sports and spaces are still male dominated, which makes it harder for women to see themselves belonging and feeling confident in taking up space in those environments.”
How do you define success?
“Building a life that feels aligned and impactful! I want to create meaningful experiences for people, grow a business I believe in, and still having time to enjoy life.”
What's your favorite woman-owned/-founded brand?
“Wow. Genuinely too many to list. One of our newest partners for this year is Wild Rye and I've always looked up to the way they've built their business and the impact they make in the outdoor realm for women.”
