The most expensive thing you’ll ever avoid?
Looking “cringe” online.
There wasn’t one big moment.
No immediate viral post.
No glamorous setup.
Just a series of quiet, uncomfortable choices.
I hit “publish” on stories that made me sweat.
→ About freezing my eggs
→ About how much money I made
→ About showing up consistently even when engagement was low
→ About depression
→ About immigration
→ About my political views
Many of my most vulnerable posts felt like a risk.
Not because I didn’t believe in what I was sharing but because I knew someone would judge it.
“Too much.”
“Tacky.”
“Cringe.”
But I kept posting.
Not to prove anything to them but to keep a promise to me.
That promise?
To stop hiding.
To build a career that didn’t rely on gatekeepers.
To use my voice, not just my résumé.
And here’s what happened:

→ I got invited to have a seat at tables I never would have had access to just by virtue of my age or job title
→ Got offered board roles, advisor seats, and stages to speak on
→ Weekly DMs from women all over the world sharing vulnerably how my posts have impacted their lives
→ And eventually, dozens of viral posts.
After showing up online for 5+ years, here's what I’ve learned:
Cringe is the toll you pay on the bridge to credibility.
Everyone who’s built something meaningful online started with a post that made them feel exposed.
So if you’re scared to share, good.
Today’s Anti-Cringe Challenge:
📱 Post that draft you’ve been hoarding
🎥 Record one video, in public
💥 Share it without “sorry for the long post” energy
Your future self doesn’t flinch when people watch.
She knows visibility isn’t vanity. It’s leverage.
And your content isn’t cringe.
You’re just not used to being seen yet.

If I told you that you would lose $350,000 if you didn’t stay in your job for another 2 months, would you stay?
